Been a busy last few weeks- between brand inspecting and weaning calves.. Everyone and everything is running behind this year because of all the moisture.. October has set a new record for rain - and this year was #2 for years in overall moisture since the weather bureau started keeping records in the 1800's with over 20.5 inches (average is 11.5)..Lots of folks still have hay bales in the field and some still have grain crops to combine- behind because of so much moisture.. But the last few days we have been having a beautiful Indian summer..
Have some good grazing if the snow doesn't get too deep..

Calves weaned off good- heifers we kept averaged 598 and bulls averaged 680..

Some of the heifer calves down on the river bottom hay meadows.. They were weaned Oct. 26th..

Definitely have some good grazing- we will sell some of these depending on how many we keep for replacements..
