Cows calves by 3/4 Angus 1/4 Hereford bull.

Help Support CattleToday:

Nice calves. I'm surprised that first one has so much white on its legs.
Thanks, I've come to expect that from that line. A Hereford bull that I had a few years ago was out of a bred heifer bought at a registered Hereford sale. I will always believe that there was some old fashioned red and white spotted Simmental hidden back in that pedigree,
He threw a lot of white and in some cases very unHereford like markings, phenotype and disposition. That particular baby calf traces back to that bull on both sides, though the sire and dam both are conservatively marked BWFs

This calf is currently about to have her first calf, we call her Patch. Her year younger sister a red calf apparently got bred at 5-6 months old and looks to be going to calve just a little later than Patch.
Their sister bred the same way from the year before Patch is in our freezer because she didn't get bred. 3 heifers full sisters kind of all over the spectrum as far as getting bred.
