Consumption of meat type by country

Thought the US and Oz would be beef, UK doesn't surprise me, the rest of europe does however with their piggy appetites.

The "world elites" keep talking about decreasing the consumption of meat.... anyone going to tell the Chinese they are way over consuming meat???? Don't think so....

I knew that chicken would be the most eaten meat in US due to the price. Beef is probably the most preferred overall,
Here in our region of KY, part of southern Appalachia in the past pork has been traditionally a major source of meat. Most people that had cattle sold them instead of keeping for their own food, they would feed out hogs instead because the cattle were worth more to sell.
I ate a lot of pork growing up, quite a bit of chicken. We had some beef usually ground beef, roasts, or round steak.
A lot of people did and still do eat a lot of fresh fish and wild game meat.

If I put this map together I would have chosen a different colour for beef consumption maybe Green.
