Does anyone have experience with hauling silage in this type of trailer? Cause of the drought conditions here and cost of what hay can be found, I'm going to buy/haul silage as I need it and feed in conjunction with hay. Were they factory tires? Most tires that come out on trailers are junk. I replace them with quality 14 ply tires and have no problems! B&G

Now days the standard width is 6'8". Some make 7' their standard width. But, to answer your question, with todays cattle, I wouldn't look at a trailer that was anything but 6'8" or wider JMHO. A 7'6" or 8' trailer does make a difference with what you can haul. But, the wider ones are pricey. B&G

Update: I did make the trip and get this little trailer! Boy, I'm glad I did this thing like new condition. I've already had like five people try and buy it. So, the 7 hour trip was worth the effort. Thanks for you alls input. B&G

Are they torsion or spring axles? As far as the bearings if you rock the wheels back and forth a listen and feel for play/slop that will tell you if the bearing are needing attention. B&G
