    What would you do?

I'll try to keep this as short and to the point as possible. A little history first: My grandparents bought our farm in '87, I was 4yrs old at the time. I spent almost every summer there working with my grandpa bailing hay, doctoring cattle etc. I lived about 30mins away so I was there much...

I ran into one of the penhookers who buys my local barn on Saturday at the coop buying feed. We where waiting to get loaded out and got to talking and he ask me what kind of tractor I had. We both used JD's but he said someone he knew was friends with a man who owned a 100+ hp Kubota that was on...

    JD 5525

Anyone here have one? I'm looking at a 2008 4wd with 1900hrs on it. 91hp with 542 loader and cab. Price is $35000. I'd be trading our 2000 5410 4wd with 1023hrs on it. I'm figuring I'd have to give around $15k boot?

    chili recipes

Here's what we use/cook. Brown the hamburger and drain the water/oil off and put the meat in the pot. Wipe out the skillet out with a paper towel as you will use it to cook the sausage. I cut the sausage up ¼” wide then cut it in half, cook it and put it in the pot. Wipe out the skillet again...

    How has the stockbarn changed

I was talking to Denver about this a few days ago and it got me thinking so I thought I'd post it here. I can remember going to the stockbarn with my grandfather as a kid in the early 90's. Back then *it seemed to me at the time* you saw a lot more farmers and traders than you do now in terms...

    A few of my calves

All are about 9wks old or younger. I really like this calf here, he's the youngest but the biggest. He has a little too much ear for east TN but I think he'll do ok at the sale this winter. I really like this little heifer calf #187 This little black heifer here is nice too, the w/f calf...

    JD rotary cutters

Picking up a 2012 Frontier RC2072 Thursday. Found it online at a local New Holland/Kobota dealer for $1250. Looks new except for one dent in the rear corner. How do these hold up? I won't be using it for trees or brush, this will mainly be for pastures that don't get mowed for hay.
