    I was talking to a friend who's daughter and son in law dairy around the Stephenville area. They're selling 2 day old bull calves for $800 a head!!! A guy comes by every other day to pick them up. That totally blows my mind.

    Woke up to thunder and lightening around 4:30 this morning ; it's been raining off and on since then. What a blessing! We got fertilizer out on the hay meadow yesterday morning.....feel like we won the lottery.

    I would have to use AI.... couldn't stand to look out in the pasture and see a wagyu bull. However, I wouldn't mind trying it on one cow and putting the resulting calf in my freezer.

    Brute, What would your sale date be if you stuck to original amount of feed and what do you think they would weigh at that time?? Maybe sell at that point if they've gained well and prices are right.... that way you're not out the additional 6 - 8 loads of calf crack.
