I bought an older cow who broke her horn during loading. Broke right at the skull pretty clean.

Since getting her home she likes to stand with her head down and lays down with her head down. Is this due to the horn missing? Anyone ever see this?

Yep, it's gotta hurt. Smelling her own blood is something she's going to remember too and don't be surprised if she's hard to load in a trailer from now on. I had a bull that lost a horn sheath while scratching his head on a big white oak tree...I could see the blood all over it and every time he passed by that same tree, he went into a fit bellering and pawing the ground, as if it was the tree that did it.
