    Tx Border Control

They said we don't need a border wall, but if we had a border wall/fence along the river the situation at Del Rio would not be happening. Migrants cross the weir on the river and then they are in Texas and the United States. The weir river crossing is about a 1/2 mile from the border fence at...

Don't think that will happen, but if so we're moving to Arkansas.

    Oh no!

Don't understand the full press media coverage and 24/7 updates on this case. There were 6 killed and 56 wounded recently in Chicago weekend gun violence, but there is no mention of this in the news media. chicago shootings

The city is requiring you to pay a city tax, but your not in the city? How does that work?

jltrent did you start this because you were going to post something and changed your mind, or did you start this for an experiment on how a post about nothing could create intellect/non-intellect discussion?

    Afghanistan

I agree with Mrcopier. What are 10,000 to 20,000 Americans doing in Afghanistan and why did they stay after the U.S. made public they were pulling out? "reports ranging from 10,000 to 20,000″ Americans are currently stranded in Afghanistan"

If it was made in America, we wouldn't be concerned about the shipping from China.

They are going to tax our mileage

Don't see electrical vehicles being the norm around here. The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) can't keep the heaters on in the winter and air conditioning on in the summer. Back in the spring they issued an alert that they may be blackouts due to lack of wind.

Exactly how does that work? How do they make more money than logging or grazing by allowing things to burn?

Brute, exactly what do you mean when you say "the older generations keep voting against some thing that wont even effect them." Feel your pain amigo, didn't want social security taken out of my check starting 50 years ago.

    Modern Education

We bought a rod and reel for my wife's birthday. The reel was $60 or so and the rod was around $80. The young lady at the cash register said that will be $65. I said what about the rod she said it's included in the price. Told her that it should be more than than that. She said, very confidently...

    I can smoke dope now.............

Them boys in Oklahoma roll their joints all wrong. They're too darn skinny and way to long. Them boys down in Texas got some darn fine weed. They smuggle across the Rio, they use the Mexican breed. (excerpt from Cross Canadian Ragweed)

    Oh boy!

It's not fake. Texas can't even keep electricity on to keep the pump running, the heater going, the refrig and freezer going, and now we're going to charge our electric cars? Texas is relying too much on wind power. If we wasn't so poor, we'd buy a generac.

    Texas Boar Hunt

After ~15" of rain last month one water gap got hung open by a branch, and we opened the other to let debris coming down creek to go on thru. Our fence is pretty much dog-proof but during a rain animals get through the water gaps. A little pig wandered in the barn with the weaners a few days...
