    First time ever

Side by sides here in WY can be licensed to be 'street legal'. If you don't use them on the highway, they don't need to have a license.

I'm glad you answered that, TC Ranch. You beat me to the punch. Great advice! It would be green on green...green mothers and green owner...what could go wrong?

We are in the foothills of the Big Horns. And we have had snow since November, more all the time and now we have a 3 day snowstorm in the forcast. They are saying it will bring us 13" of snow over those 3 days. I'm really over SNOW!!!

No sir! Means don't start with cow/calf operation. Good luck to you!! We lived near Whitewood and loved it!

You can move the flatbed to the next pickup. I know, because we have done it. Good Luck Cowboy Ram!

    Buying bulls

Agreed! I don't care for either one of the Baldy bulls, but who asked me? 🤣 I think Cowboy Ram can do better...much better.

    Buying bulls

I agree. I've noticed that some Black Angus breeders are using Rito 707 sons, like Rito 707 of Ideal again. Those are OLD bulls. The industry had great cattle in the 70's and 80's then went to extremes (IMO). When that happened, Black Angus bulls in the stud books were bigger than the...

    Buying bulls

When we were buying Limousin bulls, one of the breeders went to a sale with me. I found a really good looking 1/2 Limousin bull. I'll never forget what she told me, "that's what you want to raise, not what you want to buy." Friend snuck in and bought this 2 year old bull through an internet...

    Buying bulls

These are good folks. Sight unseen guarantee. Their sale is April 13. This is a 2023 sale information. They sell older bulls. I think the bulls sell reasonably. Veteran WY--bulls sell at Torrington. http://www.mcclunranch.com/?fbclid=IwAR2is7Q_mYzEFoPk9DFwanSmCRuELuf_vacxuhr3y4Vae1mxvypCsYCykuY

    Buying bulls

Private treaty is less stressful. But you don't get to hear comments from other bull buyers and the food is always good at bull sales. 😁 You have access to some good bulls in your part of the world. Let us know what you decide to do and what you buy. Good luck! Maybe your injured bull will...

    Might be spring one day.

In SE Montana we learned to wait to calve until after March 15. Before then, you were asking for problems. After March 15 the weather was better but with new calves born in April with much moisture, then they were dealing with MUD. Gumbo mud is awful!! They have a problem standing up and you...

    Might be spring one day.

I doubt it is much consolation, gcreek, but we have more snow than you do. It just keeps piling up. I'm not sure where it's going to go when it melts. Probably a flood, but it's going to take awhile to melt these drifts and piled up snow. I'm ready for some bare ground.

    Deworming.

They might "look fine" but you are losing some performance in your cattle. There are things you can't see going on. But to each their own.

    Deworming.

Customers who have dewormed with Safe-guard have cleaned up their pastures. We have a customer who is faithful about running fecals on his cows (sent to Dr. Don Bliss or Gene White, both parasite gurus) and he strategically deworms in the springs, as recommended. We have run fecals on his cattle...
