I agree it gets cheaper the more you buy, like a lot of stuff, but really, the price of land has gotten out of hand. It needs to go down and I hope it does. No one is going to be able to afford it, and when they do, it won't be worth what they bought in for. Sound familiar?

You can buy bottle racks. I never tried them. I had calves that would butt the bottle and make it go everywhere.

Tried one when I was doing bottle calves. They eat a LOT and don't have a thing to show for it.

Get a mini donkey to keep it company. They are good companion animals and are easy keepers. You can find then ranging in price from free to thousands of dollars depending on what you want. They are good hobby farm animals and usually are pretty gentle. Get a gelding or a jennie, not an intact...

Yeah, when I see a little bitty kid at a show, I have to wonder how much work that kid actully did, or if it was Daddy's "imported" help. Sometimes the kid did the work, but other times, well, you have to wonder. And that's not really fair to the other kids who did do all the work.
