One more thing to vent about!

It's a shame big C but its always low turn out everywhere. You don't realize what you have until you don't have it anymore. Nixon wasn't evil. No worse than any other president, he just got caught. The United States is not a democracy and it was never intended to be. It is a republic.

    "Game Preserves" terrible thing

It's a shame we don't have a fence that effective on our southern border.

    Yellow Jackets

Had an 8th grade science teacher yank her pants off in front of the whole class when a mouse ran up her britches leg. Still remind her of that when I see her.

    Welcome to our place....ANYTIME!!

Beautiful, just beautiful. I am used to looking at little hills here in Tennessee. I wouldn't be able to get anything done for a month. I'd just stand there and look around in awe of the mountains. Looks cold though.

    American Chestnuts

According to the American chestnut foundation website they are the real thing. You can look up a local chapter in your state and see if any are known to be growing in your area. There are some fairly large tree photos on the Tennessee website. I can remember eating chestnuts when I was a kid so...

    feeds for cattle and hogs

Trin, where you are the cattle should be good on grass soon. The hogs would do fine on shelled corn and a supplement that fits the particular use of the animal. Hi-pro suppliment like sow-38 for brood sows with pigs, 14% grower for smaller growing pigs and a finisher concentrate for topping...

    American Chestnuts

Do any of you have any American chestnut trees on your place that you know of? We have an appearent comeback of the American chestnut here in Tennessee. They appear to be blight resistant now. I understand they are available for planting from the university of Tennessee. There are a few farms...

    Distemper

Bez, I don't know if you have ever heard of this but I remember Dad taking a tin can putting pine tar and feathers in it and lighting it on fire. When it begins to burn and smoke pretty good blow it out. He would hold the cat over it and let it breath the smoke for a few minutes. The few times I...

    Jealous of the green!

Thats too much for me. The buttercups are blooming, pear, peach and apple trees are budding out, willows already have leaves and the grass is beginning to grow here. I don't mean to rub it in but, I love the south. :)
