    Silo Filling ?

A lot of guys here put high moisture corn in them. They say it keeps better. Some still put silage but most now are bags or piles.

    Supplement to good pasture/hay

Mat man is right on.vfeed em different time. I give mine a couple buckets of barley twice a week and they see a pail and come running. You feed em same time every day and you come home late or don't get out there one day and they'll be bawling like they've never been fed in a month

    Creep feeder

Haha no kidding Jed I Know the feeling. Guy asked why we "put up with" cattle and I just told him we have to haul both cattle and grain to market at least a couple hours one way and a load of cattle is worth way more than a load of corn so might as well feed the corn and haul the cattle!

I did this exact thing last year. Had 29 head about half steers half heifers. Used Purina accuration at first hated it cattle sorted it out and just ate the corn. Made my own ration and did well. Went from 250lbs to 800. Gained 2.8 lbs per day. I did notice putting a little better hay helped...

    Feedlot fence line

Looks nice ntcpa. Maybe just a suggestion.. throw a gate on the back side just in case the hay gets down and a calf gets in there at least you won't have to chase it around the yard. Just coming from experience haha

    Feedlot fence line

I would figure your right stocker Steve. Filter fabric down first will save a lot of headaches. Up here you have to use that or blasted rock first with is 4 inch to 6 inch stone first. Fabric does wonders though

    Feedlot fence line

https://youtu.be/MTCwYM8-fsE This is a design I found a year or so ago. I really like the set up. My next one will be Crete something based off this design size may change some but I like that I could clean manure around bunk. That's always the messiest and usually were the muds the worst...

    Feedlot fence line

I kinda do the same not nearly as fancy. Up here if you drive in a lot to feed in spring or late fall you water canals that are a nightmare to fix. I made a gravel pad set bunk inside the fence and a little drive off my driveway to it. Works great no mud coming over the Axel and huge ruts to...
