    For the light weight calf buyers

    I own a Jersey & Jersey cross cow. I breed them beef but then buy a dairy bull calf when the cows calf. so it's like they got twins every year wean the twins off at 5 months old and then buy another calf to finish off her lacation. So that calf is 4 months when weaned and it works so far. The...

    brewers grain

    it was my plan to make it my sole ration feed. hay too of course. I have a small herd 10 head an a small flock of sheep 6. from what I saw online I thought I could use it as a replacement to the beef ration I'm feeding now. that's only at 15% crude protein n this should be 22% + so I thought it...

    hydrophonic fodder?

    yeah I agree with you guys. it sounds very labor intensive n costly. all I thought was god I got 10 head including calves. so I would need to outfit my entire garage n basement to grow this stuff to keep these guys fed. n that's with several layers of this stuff.

    Whey = weight?

    Thanks I was reading bout it too. But can't find and good clear info on protein levels and so on. I know storage will be an issue. I just got a small herd of 9 head altogether so I'd probably just take a bit at a time. And store it in 5 gallon buckets in cooler.
