Yes He will breed. Get rid of the other nut if you no for sure the 2 nd nut is not pushed up in him

Most Herefords seem to dilate more and wait longer. My be the reason they tend to prolapse more.

I not sure banding one nut is a good ideal. The only ones I have seen if left alone the other nut will drop later. Now it will never drop.

We used a boom pole on back of tractor. Let him stay hook to it for while than start pulling him around. He will fight it a little but will figure out it is easier to walk with it .

Is the young bull registered so you know his EPDs? It is a roll of dice if he is commercial stock.

I have banded a lot of calves. I have seen a few that I could not find the 2nd nut. I have never put a band on one nut. A lot of times you can wait a few weeks and the 2nd nut will come down. I would wait and see what happens to this calve but watch for infection and get vet to look before doing...
