    Registered brahman coefficient calculator?

Does anyone know if it exist? Can someone be kind enough to break it down for me layman’s terms how to calculate based on the coefficient % already available on the registry? Thanks in advance! Happy holidays!

    Twins

It’s the rainy season for us in guatemala. Unfortunately the grass isn’t the most “nutritious” in dry mater, protein. However that particular grass likes to take a good beaten and holds well when the soil is saturated for long periods of time. Btw love the comment. Hopefully it’s true I’ve had...

I think it’s an inbreeding problem

LVR I agree, thanks for the comments. I spoke to my Manager about disposing dead cattle because it’s never been brought up and he said they usually just leave the body and let nature take care of it. For example vultures, wild dogs, coyotes and ocelots will eat it. From now on I asked for him...

I think it’s an inbreeding problem

Thanks everyone for their input. I was able to text our vet he thinks it could brucellosis, when asked if they were vaccinated for it he didn’t answer the text. I called our local government office this morning as well, to see if they could do the blood work for us but since we are too remote...

I think it’s an inbreeding problem

The abortions are over a 12 month period. Between both herds it’s 240 cows/heifers/calf’s and steers. The herd that’s producing this is the older herd. The daughters from the older herd have not produced this problem then again only five calf’s that have been born from that herd so far with one...

I think it’s an inbreeding problem

They are vaccinated for everything, they are getting vaccinated soon.. 2X a year is what we do down there. The only thing we are changing this year is we aren’t using invermectin.

I think it’s an inbreeding problem

I don’t think it’s brucellosis, they were vaccinated in February and we don’t introduce outsiders, except for the sires but they are vaccinated before coming into the property. The only ones not vaccinated against brucellosis are the calf’s.

I think it’s an inbreeding problem

The bulls used at the time were not registered. They came from my dads brother in laws property as per my manager. I really think my cows could be the bulls aunts?? I also think they call this parrot jaw. It’s definitely congenital I think...

I think it’s an inbreeding problem

So this is our 4th and 5th one this year. I have a feeling the two bulls we had before were somehow related to the heifers and cows we have. I’m so annoyed. I also had another calf born a day later looks fine and all except she’s 56 lbs. my dad originally blamed it on the moon I said that’s an...

    Preg-Alert Pro for Livestock

Thanks for the input. Yes ultra sound machines seem very expensive. Excuse my ignorance but how would it affect the way it works if the heifer/cow has an infection, thanks in advance.
