    Diesel shortage

Most country stores and neighborhood mom and pops in small communities carried coal oil. It was a square tank with a manual rotary pump that measured out the fuel. I've seen them pumped in fuel cans and also glass bottles. Whatever the customer furnished. It was cheap and put on the charge acct...

If you are going to use propane, you should use two part tips. They are much easier to clean.

When the wife and I were first married we lived in a 10x50 mobile home . (More of a travel trailer mfg in Illinois with a kerosene heater) I was flying airplanes at the time and heated that thing with JP5 for two winters. I would pack it home 2 5gal cans at a time.

    Intimidator 750 4x4 UTV

I would research it thoroughly. Seems like they may have had some charging issues. That unit is 6 yrs old and probably has more hrs than it shows on any hr meter. See if they will let you use it for a week to see if you really want it. Check google for all reviews and problems. I bought an...

    Jump Starting Safety

CB, Same thing happened to me. I think on a 79 ford (wonder if there should have been a recall). When I turned the key it blew. The top of the battery dented the hood pretty good. Traded the truck with the dent still in it.

    Pole Barn House

I both like and agree with those of you using metal. Cb, you're right on with Galvalume. I have a couple of storage workshops made with steel. My one question to those of you that use it is what do you find works best to keep the mildew off. It seems to not clean with just pressure washing...

    Straight truck for cattle

Brings back memories. My grandfather hauled cattle for the local sale barn back in the 50's and sometimes he would let me ride with him. He had an old dodge truck, probably a 40's model that the windshield opened up with a crank in the center of the dash. (Air conditioning) I remember loading...

    Fuel storage.

You should talk to the distributor who will deliver the fuel to you. He should be up to date on all regulations required. If not, you should consider another distributor.

    What was your first tractor?

Package deal. Ford 8N, Case 830 diesel, 7' JD 2 way plow (S/N 2), and hay wagon for $2500. Worked my tail off with all of them. Had to take out a loan to buy them.
