    Asking for a friend…….

I don't think so. Don't think it will do anything. At least not in a normal dose.

    Grass ID

Smooth brome or meadow brome or a different kind?

    Irrigation water.

I don't think we got more than 3/4" all of April. Should have had 2". Cheatgrass got to 2" tall and started throwing seed heads. Deeper rooted perennials have greened up, but are running out of gas in the shallower soils. The Drought Monitor has us as "normal", but our area should be in the...

    Udders influenced by bulls?

If you have a commercial herd, it boils down to how much bad you can stand versus the good she does. A seed stock producer shouldn't have any cows that even sort of have these kind of teats. The rest of the cow looks pretty solid.

    Cow won’t lay down

There is also Banamine transdermal, which is a pour on down the spine. Withdrawal is 4 days if I recall correctly. A dose of transdermal seems to provide about 48 hours of pain relief just based on my observations.

    Wrong but consistant

What is your water source in that pasture?

    Starting over

Were those your Gardens Wave calves? I had a Gardens Wave son I raised and his calves were like that. And beller every time when you do get it caught and tag it. Weaned every one of them - never lost a calf from that bull (knock on wood, his last calf crop is on the ground now).

    Bad luck keeps on coming

Wyoming has only $25K statutory minimum liability auto coverage. That is why I suggest to clients to carry the maximum UM/UIM they can, because when the other driver is at fault and is "judgment proof" UM/UIM is going to be the only source (other than their health insurance) to get back on...

    Bad luck keeps on coming

Make sure to get the max coverage on UM/UIM. Cheapest insurance you can buy for when the other driver doesn't have enough coverage to pay for your injuries and damages they caused.

    Halter Breaking

I prefer what this guy does, but I try to get them to take a step or two before I ever tie them up the first time.

    Halter Breaking

This isn't true pressure and release. As soon as the calf moves the donkey is taking out the slack again and calf doesn't get much reward. They no doubt get broke to lead, but there are better ways.

    Halter Breaking

It's still a lot harder on the calf than just taking your time and working on pressure and release. If I had to halter break 20 or 30 calves the donk might be the way to go, but for one calf you could have the calf, it just won't take very long to get it broke to lead. I never tie a calf til...

    Summer weather predictions

El Nino is usually bad for us. Dry hot summers. Looking kind of sorry this spring after record rainfall last spring. We only need an inch or two in next couple weeks to turn it around and have a strong grass crop.

    Halter Breaking

Donkeys are a brutal way to halter break a calf. Train them same way as horses. Calf is already gentle so half the battle is done. Standing at the side, ask the calf to turn her head toward you - as soon as she does, reward her by releasing the pressure. Giver her a little scratch and ask...

    Too close for comfort.

Better check you exclusions from coverage - probably does not cover injuries from working livestock.

    Yearling bulls

If sold as cutter bulls then around $1.80/# here at present. If just auctioned off as a breeder then would want a BSE and trich if not a virgin bull. Might still only bring cutter bull price unless right buyers show up

    Post a random picture

Some guys by my old place had buffs. They would run through a fence into the neighbors and he would get on his motorcycle and get them on the run and they would run through a different spot to go back home. Lots of fence fixing. All the neighbors were happy when they sold out the buffs...

    Bad luck keeps on coming

Looks like the policy only covers losses due to most anything except a health issue. There have been many high dollar cattle that died of "bloat" that were apparently covered, but no doubt different policy terms.

    Finishing Steer questions

I would contact your local CO-OP or an elevator or feed dealer to see if you can purchase a tote (big bulk bag that can hold 1000-2000# of corn) to cheapen up you feed cost. Steer will be fine in a separate pen, especially if he has across the fence contact with the other critters. If you are...

Post a pic of your bull

He actually appears to have an overbite and his image has been obviously photoshopped onto a grass scenery background. His tail switch looks really nice -- kind of an 80s rock hair band vibe.
