    3/4 Ton Truck Recommendation

I’ve got a’22 ford 7.3 gas. Been pleased with it so far. Got 21k on it. Over half of that is towing. Avg about 8 mpg according to the dash. Biggest complaint I have is that it is the spinning-est truck I’ve ever had. I think it’s just too light in the back end. But overall I am very happy with it

    John Deere baler pressure gauge

Me too. But on a positive note, you get to go see mother Deere!

    John Deere baler pressure gauge

Yes, it’s possible the gauge could go bad. Does the needle move any? One thing to try, if possible, if your tractor has multiple hydraulic remotes, swap remotes next time you bale. On mine, I was having trouble with the pressure not increasing as a bale was being made. Turned out, one of my...

    Ford 3600 lift arms

But mine are both su, so they are the same.

    Ford 3600 lift arms

No problem. If you’d happen to need any measurements, I’d be glad to take some for you. Good luck.

    Ford 3600 lift arms

Look for a farmhand 22 loader. Was also sold as a Dunham-lehr 22. Usually sell very affordable. I’ve got one on a 4000su and one on a 4600su. Handle 5’x6’ bales regularly. Worst thing is getting different buckets for it. Usually need a fab shop to adapt the brackets.

    5610 Hydraulics

Abingdon equipment or CL tractor in dandridge. I’ve got a 7600 with only one actual set of remotes. I bought a splitter valve. I think mine is from summit hydraulics. It just hooks into my factory remotes and it gives me another set. It has a diverter valve on it that I can easily turn from...

    Case 495 Struggling

It almost sounds like you’ve got something binding. I would not think it is the cylinder. Does the baler use shear bolts instead of a slip clutch? I’m not real familiar with the small balers, but I’ve been around Deere balers for over 30 years. How much of a slope will keep it from latching?

    Tractor tire size change

I’m not going to be much help, but I did some quick online googling. Seems like 8210s,8240s,and 8340s all are basically 24” fronts with 34”rears, or 28”fronts with 38”rears. As for the loud whine, that’s normal in my experience. I did have a friend that had a jd 4755 mfwd. Previous owner had...

    Weird question about bolts

3/4” bolts. 260 ft lbs + ( my small torque wrench maxes out at 260 and I can’t get my big torque wrench in to the bolts). I used the loctite that does not require heat to break loose because I cannot use a torch due to bolt location. I had never heard of the nord lock washers. I ordered some...

    Weird question about bolts

I have a loader tractor that the loader bracket bolts into the cast iron axle support and transmission housing. I can not keep these bolts tight! I have tried loctite. There is no way I can tack weld the bolts (due to clearance). Anybody got any good ideas how to keep them tight?

    Hauling 10ft wide cutter?

My 10’ rhino is made so you can remove 2 pins, disconnect the PTO, and the tongue will fold straight up. Might be possible to load sideways and get it narrower. But I’m used to hauling 5’x6’ bales 2 wide on a trailer, so I wouldn’t think anything of hauling a 10’ mower. Be nice to be able to see...

    Ironcraft mowers?

You must definitely not ground like me. 35-40 acres a day with 15’ and 125 hp.

    Rotary cutter suggestions

I have very high opinions of rhino. Have had a 10’ and currently have a 15’. My grievance with 12’ batwings is it just seems like it’s a lot more moving parts for just a 2’ gain. 3 gearboxes vs 2 on a 10’. Lots more universal joints + PTO drivelines. Etc.

    Goose Neck bed

Yeah, I’ve seen the “barn door” tailgates. I just don’t think I want to take a load of watermelons to the farmers market with one of those tailgates. Heck, I hesitate to take a load with a conventional tailgate!

    Putting the kubota to work

I have a cat track loader (not a skid steer). Unless I can open both ends of the pond and push the mud/slurry out, a 4wd tractor can always work faster than me, even though I’ve got the bigger bucket. But getting the mud and grime out of the undercarriage is a JOB!!!

Anyone use a Uship shipper for a tractor?

I’ve used U-ship to have some pieces of tillage equipment shipped. I was very satisfied. Mine arrived within a few hours of the quoted time both times. Wouldn’t hesitate to use it again

    Dump trailer question

That’s for sure, @Butterbean_Farms! Thanks guys. I knew it was surely something simple. I’ll tear into it when the rain stops.

    Dump trailer question

I have a pj dump trailer. Over the past 6 weeks, it has started raising and lowering itself, just parked in the field. I’ve had to start unhooking the battery cables to keep it from draining the battery. Anybody got any ideas?
