    Teton Pass

Okie dokie. Suggestion was to see a part of the state most people don't, not to experience more dirt roads.

    Teton Pass

These ones are county maintained, so in pretty good shape other than can get washboard sections. Could run a semi rig over it.

    First time haying

Hay usually dries fast here. If we are under high pressure systems, 90* and 15% humidity, my neighbors try to catch a little dew and bale in the early morning and quit by 11:00 or noon.

    Feet

Decent claw shape. Agree needs more heel depth.

    Craigslist cattle

No ranch is complete without one.

    Recommended weaned vaccines?

The logistics of putting cows through the chute in the spring is the issue for me. Theoretically we could do it when we brand - oldest calves are 60 days and youngest about 15 days with a few stragglers less than that. Branding day is also about 30 days before we start A.I. But, branding day...

    Teton Pass

If you don't mind some dirt roads, it is a scenic drive to go from Shoshoni to Lysite and Lost Cabin and take Badwater Road to the top of the mountain and then it becomes Nowood Road down to Ten Sleep. The Nowood River Valley is some great ranch scenery.

    Teton Pass

From Jackson maybe go over Togwotee Pass to Dubois where the new National Museum of Military Vehicles has recently opened https://www.nmmv.org/ Then hit Riverton and stop and visit @CowboyRam then north through Wind River Canyon, Thermopolis and take a swim in the hot springs, then north to...

coffee is ready, have a cup

My wife drinks them. I don't mind them, but I try to minimize carbs and sugar, so no go for me.

    Teton Pass

It's the highway between Jackson, WY and Driggs, ID. Can go to the south by Palisades Reservoir from Rexburg-Idaho Falls to Alpine, WY south of Jackson.

Should be comparable to gas station cappuccino from the machine.

    JC Martin saddles

I have a Dale Martin (which is Martin Saddlery) team roper saddle I bought back around 2002. It has been a good saddle. Fits most horses really well. Full double rigged with semi QH bars.

    Recommended weaned vaccines?

Cows get Cattlemaster (killed vaccine), Ultrabac 7 and Scourgard in the fall at preg check time and that's it. Replacement heifers get the Bovishield Gold FP and Bangs in the usually around November/December. Calves get Inforce 3 Ultrabac 7 and Bovishield One Shot at branding and again at...

    Fall pairs to the sale

There is a lot of hay in the Torrington-Scottsbluff area and irrigation water supply should be pretty good. Forty mile haul isn't too bad. That's a good price if I was closer.

    Fall pairs to the sale

I have 8-10 pairs in the special project pasture I planned to cull the cows this fall when we wean the calves. We have moved to D1 drought this week and pastures are not going to hold, so I am considering selling them early as pairs, maybe in the next week or two. If they will bring $2500+...

Keeping the road from rolling up

Montana and Dakotas have been getting all the low pressure systems. We have been at the southern side of the lows and all we get is wind out of those. Been hauling to my summer lease pastures this week. Looks like August or worse. What is sort of green doesn't have much to it. Cows have...

Keeping the road from rolling up

Wind has been a bastard most of May and dry as a popcorn fart around here. Maybe 50% of usual forage production. Drought Monitor had us in the D0 zone last week. It has to be getting into D1 or D2. They are always about a month behind on their classifications. We left a lot of feed on our...

Hope he stays on his side of the fence.

Fences are only suggestions for bulls. My neighbor's have been good to work with and we let each other know when bulls are going out next to each other so can try and keep a pasture separation. Slowly getting some of the perimeters with electric top and middle. Need to have something that...
