With her, it’s hard to tell. She’s my wild child. I think she wanted to visit a Children’s Hospital before she turned 1 lol. Her twin brother is pretty laid back in comparison. Stubborn, but laid back. Her she is the day after the magnet retrieval.

That would be a magnet that my daughter ate not too long ago. Thankfully they were able to do an upper scope and get it out instead of an ex lap.

    Number a bull can breed

I have used bulls younger than that to breed that many and it worked out just fine.

    Longhorn bull to Hereford cows

You are in a tough spot because the LH was a gift from the wife. Lol. You think she would notice if his nuts are missing?

    Clipping pastures

Terrain here makes it difficult to clip and spray. So, the cattle eat what we have and produce or go work at McDonald’s. Even if everything was nice and flat I wouldn’t bother messing with it. I certainly wouldn’t be going through the cost and labor to spray and reseed just to see k31 take...

Looks like some johnsongrass in there too. Cattle are going to be in the candy shop there.

    Cherry tree leaves?

It appears his cattle are just fine? I’ve read that article and several others. I have also read all the stuff about johnsongrass and the horror stories of “my cows ate just one bite and killed over.” Oh and the you don’t want buckeye trees in your pasture where cattle can get to it or acorns...

    How bout this bull?

While them two are duking it out Mr. Tiger Stripe is breeding. 😆

    Cherry tree leaves?

I suspected they would be. I’m not saying to not worry but I think we worry too much. Lol.

    How are they doing?

Hope he stays on his side of the fence.

He don’t look like he’s going to stay on his side..

    Clover Galore

If i wasn’t going to brush hog it then I would leave it. I certainly wouldn’t be going through the expense and work of bailing ‘black goo’. Lol. Mowing it is sort of a middle ground. You break up the thatch and plants and it will break down faster. You will get some regrowth of something...

    Hay cutting time !

Hay guy cut ours on Monday and finished in the evening. Yesterday was low 70’s and today it was in the 60’s and he was baling? No way it’s dry…he couldn’t finish what he raked because it started raining and of course the rest if the field he had laying and tedded is rained on.

    Clover Galore

    I'd brush hog it.

    Sinkhole

That is some scary stuff and would probably have me on edge, especially running equipment. We have two wells here. One is a shallow hand dug well around 16’ deep and 3’ or so in diameter. There is a piece of metal over it but my plan is to get rid of the thing someday. I need to check more...

My scenario, goes back to my Bulls thread

Wow a lot going on here. I would of said I wanted my money back from the get go. I also would of told that guy that said he was on his way that he better just turn around because he will NOT be unloading the other bull at my place. I usually would say I don’t pay for anything upfront but I did...

    Angus and what?

Holstein is probably likely. Holstein x Angus bred to good hereford bull made me some nice calves ($$).

    First time haying

A couple years ago I was experimenting with bale grazing. I flipped the bales ends up because I wanted to be able to cut and take the strings off when it came time. Those bales were out for a good while like that soaking up quite a bit of rain. I didn't have to feed all of them so the last 7 or...
