All comealongs I know of are rated on a double line pull . So your 12’ of cable just became 6’ .

So what you really want to hear is I told you so. Ok so you did . They work good . Nice to have enough pull to not have to re hitch like I was having to do with the comealongs . Quick learning curve after getting poped in the arm . Better than the mouth. Make dang sure both dogs are latched...

You will get less rot on the bottom if you can get them up off the ground. I use #3 rock , works pretty well.

Boundary strainers are working for you and you have done far more fencing than I have so I’m not disagreeing that they work better. However 2 1 ton come alongs are maxed at 4000 pounds. Strainrite states do Not exceed 600 kg load (1323 pounds) on their boundary strainers. So a pair gets you 2646...

Like I said totally new system for me hopefully things go smoother next go round. Unroller hung 40’ out goofing up a couple of knots . I didn’t allow myself enough room on the gut strain so had to Gripple off and reset a stretcher bar. Trying to figure how tight to strain without breaking...

Ran my first line of fixed knot yesterday. First time doing a gut strain, and first time using gripples . Small learning curve , so next one should go easier. Anyhow I’m hoping I didn’t put my Gripple T clips on upside down. Does it matter which way they go ? I ran the dead end under the line...

Who makes any good gloves that barb wire won’t destroy in a day ? Old white mules were tough as nails , but I can’t find them around anymore.

Now the physics are coming in to play . Not my strongest subject :( So if you want to put 450# of tension on a single wire your strainer will have to exert 450 #’s of pull. If you want to put 450#’s of tension on an 84212 woven wire will it require 3600 #’s of pull from the strainer ? Or will...
