Simangus Big girl. She’s bred due on Jan-feb. Shes right at 2 Little girl. Heifer born to momma in March. We have them on a pasture with grass and also have hay giving to them and then we feed them feed every night.

How would you say these girls look?

Thanks tex. We started on our shed today and plan to finish it in the coming days to get that hay a drive spot to sit.

No. Calf on her side is her first calf and she’s pregnant and due in February

Calf is about 300 pounds born in March. Momma is about 800 pounds. We give them protein every night and their is a lot of grass

How much hay roughly would it take to put a bred cow and heifer calf through the winter? I’m new to cattle and was looking for advice.

That’s basically it right there. There is a small pond off to the right that you can’t see and then the whole hillside there is able to graze and then also by the pond there is a timber line that is where they go during the day to get out of the heat

But what about us only have 2 acres? We are currently working on getting another 20 acres fenced it but haven’t quit made it that far yet
