Your Truck

Help Support CattleToday:

Man you guys drive new oufits! I drive an '87 Dodge Power Ram 50. For those of you who don't know what that is, its a compact pickup built by Mitsubishi for Dodge. Little 4 cylinder with a 5 speead AND 4 wheel drive. Its a piece of crud but it gets from A to B. By the way the fuel mileage sucks. 11-13 on a 2.6 liter.

02 dodge 3500 4x4 with a flat bed and cummins diesel
98 chevy 3500 4x4 with a dew eze bed
98 chevy 1500 4x4 ext cab Z71
2002 ford f 150 super cew 4x4 lariat

and yes I like all of them for the purposes the are used for

it is just me and the wife so we cut back to 4 vehicles
a couple of yrs ago we had 7 not counting the 2 semi's

You folks make far and away too much money - I could not afford one of those nice vehicles - well, someday maybe - if I win the lottery

1999 Dodge Ram extended cab - 360 engine - 275,000 miles - kick the floor shifter hard for 4WD - doors rattle - one window will not open but only half way - radio works on AM but not FM - only one speaker in the back works - no speakers in the front - no rear bumper any more - lights only work on dim - seat is ripped to rat schitt - windscreen badly cracked - three different tires on the truck - heater works full bore but not on low or medium - no air any more, etc

And this is our good vehicle - you should see the Pontiac Sunfire that has almost 325,000 miles on it and still going strong.

All paid for long ago - we drive them till they die

Like it?

I never cared about a vehicle - they are a money loser - I use them and do not give a damm.

If it works it is fine - not loyal to a breed either - they all go forward and back when I want them to or I replace them.

Best vehicle out there?

One that is paid for.

2001 dodge cummins 210,000 miles cow patty brown still runs great! Did have to replace the auto trans though.

2001 dodge, 4x4, cummins, flat bed, with 130,000 miles, 75% pulling a trailer.
78 chevy 1/2 ton 4x4 on its third motor. Built from 4 different trucks. 300,000 plus miles. Rusty as He??.
Just bought a 95 Toyota 4x4 pickup with 151,000 miles.
Darn thats a lot of miles.

2005 Chevrolet K3500 4x4 Dually Duramax Diesel.

Love the truck, love the 100,000 mile warranty on the injectors, hate the fact that it's going to run out next month.

And I'm not making too much money. I was driving a 2001 until my local dealer actually made me an offer that I couldn't refuse. They needed a 3/4 ton diesel white 4x4 truck TODAY to sell a customer and knew that I had one. They actually called me and wanted to buy my truck. The deal that they made me on the new 1 ton was unbelieveable.

cfpinz hasn;t posted probably because the door frame is so rusted out he can;t find the year of manufacture tag anymore

2007 Dodge Ram 3/4 ton with 4WD and Cummins diesel... like it, gets a lot better mileage than our old gas burnin' Dodge
1997 Dodge Ram 1/2 ton 4WD with a 318... lotsa miles but still reliable and a hard-worker
1989 Ford 4WD extended cab pk... rough shape/rusty but a good work truck

2007 Ram 3500 Mega SLT - 5.9 Cummins ,auto, single rear,- have hauled a lot of hay with it, the problem is remembering there is a load back there.

Got 3 dogs that go everywhere with us and the large cab has become popular.
Mileage seems to be close to what the console says at 21mpg - mixed.

Don't wanna brag it up too much, you know what happens then!

2008 Dodge 3500 Laramie. It's okay.. has been to the dealers more times than any other Dodge we've had. Once for the crappy front end, now has a steering problem. Also has something that "thumps" underneath when you go over a particually sharp dip. Nothing like the older ones, that's for sure. But the Sirius radio and sound system is AWESOME. At least I'll have something to listen to while I wait for the tow truck!

2004 Dodge Dually Laramie. Originally bought this one for me, but husband has taken it over. Still confiscate it when I'm pulling the 32' trailer. Great truck, well over 100K miles. Only bad thing is the leather seats are splitting on the driver's side. Never seen the dealership.

08 F-150 4x4 crew cab 5.4 L triton- Love the truck, has good power for a 1/2 ton, but the fuel mileage isn't great. 15/16mpg avg.

01 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 standard cab- My baby, great little truck. 110,000 miles

1978 F-150 4x4- great farm truck, I don't think you can kill this thing.

2009 Ford F-350 Extended Cab. I don't know if the 6.4L diesel has anymore power than my '05 6.0L, but it is much quieter, more comfortable and gets the job done.

I wondered what was supposed to be in that gaping hole...

I'm kinda shocked at all the new vehicles on here. Just backs up my claim of being poor.

1998 Intl 8100
1997 F350
1996 F350
1990 F600 (Just picked it up Friday, reckon it's my "newest")
1986 F350
1984 F700
1984 F150

That's all I can think of off the top of my head, I reserve the right to amend my list at a later date.
