We have 2 young bulls for this breeding season. Both have been seaman tested and one is 98% and the other is 92%.
They are both mounting the cows but not staying on long. Is this normal for young bulls?
They seam to be doing the job no cow have cycled back yet.
The old bull was just to big but I realy miss him....
Thanks Jeff

Nesikep is spot on. Every bull has his own technique but a far greater concern would be "fiddling while Rome burns" BTW their semen test results are considered excellent. That said, regardless of age, its wise to record detailed libido & breeding behavior annually. Goes without saying, periodically ensure when they thrust they've actually penetrated the cow. I sold some damn nice young open cows years ago due to a bull with a deviated penis. Casual observation led me to believe he was doing his job. NOT. Expensive error on my part.

Thanks for the info
I had a couple more cow cycling and the bulls are right after them.
