... a groundhog leaves a dust trail. Was heading out the driveway this evening when a whistle pig ran across in front of me, that thing left a rooster tail any horse would be proud of. I was laughing so hard I couldn't shoot him.

You know it's dry when even the weeds are wilting. Another sure indicator is the dust belt hanging in the air as far as the eye can see in any direction, or the pastures crunch when you walk out into them. :( I sure wish it would rain up here!

No kidding. Even the horse nettle is wilting. There goes my fall stockpile! :(

Cactus dries up and dies.

This year it is green. We've never had rain like this year that I remember.
 
A few weeks back the "KUDZU" was dying here.

It doesn't get any drier than that.
 
Agreed to all above...

...was thanking everyone for sending the "trace" amount of freak rain we got on July 11th...

...it was nice to be overcast for a day even if it didn't drop any rain to measure

Hang tough everyone, hang tough... the local FSA office (a neighbor works in the loan dept) has received notice their funds will all be cutoff and headed to those who are flooding from August to the end of the year...
