no feeding out of the tube doesnt expose all of the hay.it only exposes the end of the next bale.but you do have to keep all the plastic picked up.an thats a big pain in the backside.

We usually buy our hay as it is generally cheaper given the small amount we feed, but I have been curious for some time about vacuum packed silage. I'm sure some of you have seen this promoted by Allan Nation and am curious if anyone has tried it. It only requires a single pass over the field and reportedly can be done in a light rain. I thought the price of the equipment was high, but with the price of balers, tractors, wrappers, it looks pretty cheap.
