I like Vetericyn and Blue Coat. I had a calf with an abscess that burst and I packed Neosporin in the wound - healed beautifully, can't even tell and it was on her face.
Thank you. I'm on way to farm store now. Would you suggest trying to clean it out first? Would your preference be blue coat or vetracyn? Since its right by the birth canal, I'm concerned about what would be safest if the baby would have contact with the medicine.

Good blood supply around the vulva, it will heal very well whether you just leave it or paint it blue, painting it blue will make you feel"warm and fuzzy" that you have done something.
