Hubby put a first year heifer in the barn early this morning with 2 front feet out. He had to pull the calf.
HUGE bull calf for a first year. No BW yet.
We were worried that she would prolapse. She wouldn't stop pushing and was not claiming the calf.
Started making her walk around the barn, when she would stop she would push. Got her close to the calf and she started
showing an interest in him.
Once she started licking him we left them alone.

I got home around 8:30pm went to check on them.
Calf was up and he had sucked. Heifer had cleaned and no sign of prolapse.
She was hungry and refused to leave him to go get water.
Fed her and filled a tub with water.
Calf was up and nursing again.
