i just bought some safeguard wormer. it says to give 1000lb animal 1 lbs of it in one feeding. Is it me or does 1 lb of pellets in one feeding seem like alot?
There is probably a carrier for the wormer that makes up the majority of that 1 lb, grain or something to make it palatable.

Most liquid (emulsified concentrate) pesticides and granulated pesticide formulations have a very large percentage of inert "carriers". When reading the label carefully you will see the percentage ratios. The "active ingredient" chemical is usually too "hazardous" for it to be used alone without being combined with some form of inert "carrier" (solid or liquid).
