Won't be long before we have to worry about working the cattle in the fall. What does everybody else do to their's in the fall? I'm always open to suggestions. Thanks for any help!
Vaccinate, worm, preg check, trim tails, weigh cows and calves, wean calves, ship opens, start fattening "gomer" to butcher and look at any of those nagging little things that we've put off, i.e. mystery lumps/bumps, study feet, evaluate BCS.

With our registered Longhorns, we weigh, measure horns and body height. Vaccinate with de-wormer. Start upgrading supplemental feeding to condition animals for winter. Also spray for flies as needed.
Incidentally, we usually weigh cattle and measure horns at least every 3 months. Calves also additionally weighed and horns measured at 205 days, one year. Any animal that is sold is weighed and measured prior to delivery to purchaser. Cattle photos are updated throughout the year as needed. We have Vet vaccinate for Bangs on heifers after weaning and prior to 12 mos. of age.
