A few years ago I bought a ram from an old hippy girl-she raises sheep in some pretty rough country; I asked her if she used dogs or donkeys to protect them-- She said NO she injects the lambs that die during lambing time with something (I forget what it was) and spreads them around in the bush, the coyotes eat them and get sick and they dont bother the sheep when she lets them out to pasture She said if you kill them new ones just move in---sounded crazy enough to work

A couple of the ranch people that signed their names are my neighbors-- one runs cows just up the creek a couple miles from me-- I guess I need to buy him one of his Uncle Mikes Lemonades when I see him....
