God Bless the kid for doing what he believed was right and his parents for raising him that way. And for the police officers who were fair and decent to him and didn't just think the worst or have a racial bias towards him. And for the boss who really showed his appreciation for the dedication a new employee had. There are so many that would've just called in, not shown up or whatever.

We need more young people with this type of work ethic. Hopefully he will keep it up.

You hit it with "mentally tough" that's something that fewer and fewer people are these days. Everybody wants to throw in the towel at the first sign of failure. I remember walking to work in high school. Wasn't 20 miles but probably 5.
