Winter Fencing Drill Bit

I am putting up more single strand electic and I am out of rebar posts that can be pounded in. So, I am trying to use a portable electic drill to make starter holes for fiberglass posts.

Any tips on best drill bit to use in frozen ground?

My preference is a masonary bit. But our "soil" tends to be mostly rock.

Like Dun says. I've had the best luck with masonry bits.

I run a small drill rig for a living. I would wait until the ground thaws. There is no easy way to get through.

you could try a soil sampling bit that goes in a drill

I would but the cattle are arriving on Sunday. Not sure how well grounded the fence will be with the cattle standing on a snow pack...
