Simme Valley Kristel - born 1-4-22, sired by Mack AF. Pictured winning Reserve Supreme at Allegany County Fair. Won 3rd Over All Breeds at Jersey Fresh and won Supreme at Cortland County Fair. Annika Donlick picked her out as her 4-H project. This is the 5th year we have sponsored Annika and her 2 siblings.
No, this is not the case where we train, clip and fit the animals & hand them over to the kids at a show. THEY DO THE WORK. From halter breaking to practicing setting up and showmanship. Clipping and fitting. Annika totally fitted this heifer for this open show. VERY proud of these 3 kids.
The family helped pick out names of our newborns. "Mom's" name is Christel - so for a "K" year, we went with Kristel and Annika decided to show her.

Well, this heifer and 6 other calves/yearlings are heading to a small county fair tomorrow. Kids & Mom are following us down. They will unload & set up with us. They know the whole routine. They were here today. Washed all the cattle. Packed the trailer.
Last year the Mom ordered red T-shirts with "Simme Valley Show Squad" (in yellow of course!). The Mom, Dad & 3 kids showed up on show day at a fair wearing them! We didn't know anything about it. What a riot. Of course, the kids did not wear them into the show ring.
After this little county fair, it will be NY State Fair then the Eastern National Expo, Springfield, MA., and Keystone Int'l Livestock Show, Harrisburg, PA.
