If i understand the internet correctly every time we type the site owner makes money. The site owner looses money if they ban anyone. As long as things stay civil they allow most anything. They probably don't care if its 1 person posing as 5.
The old owner didn't allow politics and look at how many posts are political now.

I know of no way a discussion board like this can be monetized just by people typing unless......
1. it has ads.

If it's ad-free, then the only other way is

It sells market data, and that only works if the website has a really big database from which it can glean demographics, user behavior, preferences, and other personal information that someone else is willing to pay $$for. I don't think this website has a large enough membership to qualify for #2.

3. It, in it's Terms of Service, states that all info, images and articles posted become the property of the website's owner and can be sold to some 3rd party such as Alamy , Etsy, or Shutterstock. They don't pay much for photos, especially not for non-professional photos like most of what we post are.

My chemistry teacher in high school was named Gabriel Gabriel. He was a retired Air Force pilot and operated a very progressive cattle operation for many years. I always admired him. At his estate sale a couple of years ago most of the bred cows brought close to 2500 dollars, which was impressive then for commercial cows.
