Some web pages and platforms have a thumbs up (or up arrow) symbol and a thumbs down (or down arrow) symbol on comments and show a running count of up votes vs down votes. Almost like real time election results. That's what I think of as far as "upvoting". I guess pushing the button and watching the vote tally number change is supposed to give a person a little instant gratification knowing that their vote was counted.

CT has a simple Like (thumbs up) and 5 emotional/sensitive faces to choose from and you get to see who voted for you or their emotional state.

Well I'm still looking for the "emotionally constipated" and "confused as a baby in a topless bar" emoji's.

I say this to you good naturedly. First of seemed like you were already posting on this forum when I got here. I 'liked' things you said and still do. Second, I didn't know anything about this feud that was and is going on. I was away for a while and suddenly Warren was banned. I just enjoyed reading Warren's posts because they were so entertaining.

Have you ever seen the movie The Vikings the scene about King Iala's Wolf Pit? :)

Well I like to think I have just said I like what was said with the thumbs up rather than the term upvoting.

Do you like reading fiction or non fiction books?

Sorry, I've slept since then so didn't remember you were 6 months later to the forum than me. Still, I remember you being welcoming to me. As for a feud... is that what it is? I don't see it that way even when Warren has done plenty of name calling and made plenty of slights. Some people here recognized his patterns and called him out and somehow moderation found a way to verify what was happening.
For my part, I've invited Warren to come back and participate.

The wolf pit thing doesn't mean anything to me. But it is always fun to see Earnest Borgnine and Tony Curtis again. I don't think I've ever seen that movie.

The Vikings made in 1958 with Tony Curtis and Earnest Borgnine .
You really should see or purchase this DVD. It is awesome one of the greatest films ever made. We bought ours on Amazon.

@coachg , so y'all have the Mexican black vultures over there? If so, how long have y'all had them? And have y'all had some confirmed calf kills by them?
Warren, welcome back.

Didjy'all suddenly get a southern accent in the last couple of weeks? I like it. Are y'all gonna be callin' everyone, Hoss now?

Anyhow, Hoss, it's good to have y'all back.

"upvote' is the kewl kids' way of saying the same thing you did. "Upvote" sounds more 'impressive', to some.
The the rest of us don't give a flyin F.
Thumbs up has a space, one more character than upvote. Laziness/convenience will always win. That's why nicknames, like Nick, are a thing.

"Hoss" belongs to one special CT member. Killed in a farm accident a few years ago. Tractor and mower. T'was bad. It left an empty place here

Oops. I'm so sorry. I was thinking of Bigfoot.
