This paper is about a particular set of immunoglobulins, IgY, found in egg yolks that attack the spike proteins produced by coronaviruses. These proteins must be isolated and then can be injected for them to be of any benefit. Simply eating eggs does not give this benefit, since the proteins are destroyed in the stomach during digestion.
