Who are they?

Don't believe everything that is posted. Pretty sure owners are from Texas, USA. I don't think they are Chinese or Panamanian. If you want to send them a letter claiming a copyright infringement, it might go through Panama.

Probably so the USPS can make more $$$$$$$$$$$ kinda like a letter sent across town has to go out of town first, to a bigger branch post Office to get routed....
1st class mail here goes to a recipient out of state faster than the same mail sent just across the county, but 'they' claim USPS is very efficient..

"What is a DMCA registered agent?

DMCA registered agents are registered with the U.S. Copyright Office. The registration is done electronically and involves providing the name of a person, company, or law firm to whom copyright-related correspondence and complaints will be sent. Registration must be renewed every three years."

On CattleToday I post links to my photos. If I post a photo it becomes property of CattleToday. And the threads load better when they are not full of pictures.

Just as stated, that's the DMCA agent contact, not the owner. Owner is from Texas
If anyone is a member of other forums, you will notice they are all similar in appearance and layout. There probably a half dozen vendors for forums. If you want to start a forum, you go to one of their sites, and buy a forum template, and you can fill it in and create your topics, etc. These vendors all have a server that they host the forums on. This one is hosted on a server in Panama. It is these servers that do the data mining from their forums, and sell the info. If you click on the "term's at the bottom of the page, They disclose who all they sell their mined data to. And it clearly states that anything you post on this forums, is the property of the DMCA, not the forum owner. Not saying that all of your personal data this server collects is used for sinister purposes...just saying the potential is there.

Who is the owner?
Just a little internet work needed. Warren posted the owner name along with the address of the DMCA agent. Per the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) law, online service providers and websites are required to provide the DMCA agent contact information.

When the forum changed owner's there was a little explanation by Angie (who later became Marie) about the new owners. They own lots of forums.

This board uses ZenForo, as indicated at the bottom of each page. Ya don't 'buy a template' Ya pay a fee to get a license to USE the template.

Moses388, your photos etc do not become property of Cattle Today. They are still yours but by posting them, you agree to grant CT the right to use them. There's a difference..
You are basically (by posting the work) declaring them to be open source, because CT (actually zenforo) does NOT claim exclusive right to use your work and in fact, claims NON-Exclusive worldwide right to ....etc etc.

I do not see where the owner is from Texas. It says that the person(s) that own the forum... have a business... out of San Marcos, TX... called Group Builder.

Sadly, Angie/ Marie is no longer here.

Yeah. "From" Texas, "out of Texas" and all that are minor details for me. But enough evidence for me to doubt the statement that "This forum is hosted on a server in Panama (China) and owned by someone in Panama." But could be that a Chinese guy formed a company in Texas, bought a bunch of forums, and moved to Panama with his server. Who knows? Maybe warren is chinese. Maybe he lives in panama. I don't know.

No doubt, but you never really know who owns what.

I have seen companies do it where they have a company all based out of like Austin. Have a local guy as the ceo or what ever, Texas stuff all over the website, etc. Ultimately it's owned by some one out of Spain or some other foreign country.

I can tell you right now, that the address is a United States post Office at 900 Bugg Ln Suite 110a Office 911 San Marcos Tx, which is a relatively new facility located in the back of a strip mall. How do I know? Because, Google Earth says so, as well as a search for Post offices in San Marcos Texas. y guess iis, that the address is just a post office box....Box #911.

Group Builder is an investment/internet group that buys up discussion boards/forums, and monetizes them thru advertising. They own 100s if not thousands tho they recently got rid of some under performers in specific sectors.
It doesn't take a big corporate footprint to do such things nowadays...or very many employees at all.

Who they are/what they do

This is not an unusual arrangement. There is $$$$$$ to be made in these discussion boards and in some cases a LOT of money. After all, the hard work was already done, by the person that started the forum (in this case Mr. Gravely) and of course, by the thousands of creators of all the content that makes up the discussion board..you and I.

There are on-line companies that keep track of such endeavors. One of them is Crunchbase.
What does Crunchbase do?
The great gawd Google sez:

"AI Overview

Crunchbase is a website that provides information about businesses, including companies, people, and investments. It's used by entrepreneurs, investors, and other professionals to learn about companies, markets, and opportunities"

That pretty much says it. Crunchbase (and other companies like it) is just a data gathering company, full of fun facts and information about all kinds of companies. (But, you have to be careful with Ai. Ai also claims Cattle Today is owned by NCBA.)

Ai is simply not to be trusted 100%...EVER!

But, here's one of the graphics that Crunchbase includes for the company that may (or may not) own Cattle Today... Group Builders. (what this indicates is that at the time this graphic was posted on Crunchbase), Group Builder fell within the parameter of those 3 lists of Texas businesses.(evidently Group Build (or the boards it bought up) generates a good bit of revenue)

Walmart yesterday, $5.78 a dozen. Brown, cage free. The Wally World eggs were not quite a buck more and gone. People around here don't buy brown eggs. They don't want them. So we shop price for most things and the pricey eggs are now the cheaper eggs.
All right I will ask the low IQ question.
What in the blue blazes is wrong with brown eggs, green eggs or white?
Every one of them came out a chickens ass.
