White eyes-newborn black calf

Does anyone know what could cause a newborn black calf to white in its eyes. This is not pinkeye. The white appears almost in a quarter moon shape under the pupil. Haven't caught calf yet to check it out but calf is healthy, active and not blind. The white was there immediately after birth. Any clues would be helpful.

I can't give you any reasons why, but the funny thing is I have a black calf with the exact same thing. She is a pefectly healthy calf, no sight problems and I intend to keep her. The only possible explaniation I can come up with is a gray diluter gene causing her eyes to be white. <br>
