Where is Caustic

We are sort of in the same part of Texas, and it looks as if we may have an early spring, thank the almighty. I will run out on hay the first week of March. Anyway this is a__holes and elbows time, not enough hours in the day for all you work and also its a great time to be wetting a hook.

My mama came in real tired after working on the land with daddy and she said she was tireder than a tumblebug in an elephant yard.

And I was thinking he might have built a nuc and delivering it to Iraq. I think he was building it with a saddle for Alice.

I actually thought he was borrowing Alice's dog to help hunt down those wild hogs.

I know Alice would help him out anytime she could.

Sounds like fun. Maybe if he's lucky he'll nail a few of those wild hogs.

Where I work, they've been 'trying out' a nifty machine that does a similar job. It looks like a skid-steer with box on the front and inside this box is a huge cylinder-looking apparatus with many, many sharp teeth. You drive this thing up to and over trees as well as stumps and this thing just grinds them to a pulp.

Timber Axe and many more brands like it. They chop up to a 6 in. tree, brush vines and all. Rent for about 250 a day at Bobcat of Houston, plus skidsteer.

The machine they've got where I work, will chop/grind trees up to at least 12 to 18 inch in diameter. I've never seen anything like it. The 'box' on the front looks like an add-on type of deal attatched to a John Deere machine. Really neat to watch this thing "eat" trees, as well as vines and other brush and stumps. Pretty quickly too.

I have been busier than the little boy in the room full of horse crap, with that much horse crap there has to be a pony in there somewhere.

Been grinding stumps, building bulkheads, and lets not forget Mrs. Burno's new tiered flower beds up the hill behind the house. Don't know what we would have done without those flower beds.
Tilling the spring garden, liming it getting ready to plant new potatoes on the 1st.

I am going to sneak up the river next week to check out the perch jerking.

I trust that was the number one priority on your 'to-do' list?

Katherine, this "machine: you are talkin about, does not work with a skidsteer does it ?
I have seen grinder/cutters for skidsteers, but nothing that would do what you are talkin about, seen a fellow once that had his fence rows cut with a machine similar to the one you are talking about,big/little trees brush, made no differnce, this thing made mulch outa them,I never got to see the machine work, they had it done before I got there, sure be nice to have that thing run around my fences.............good luck
