How good is this to feed to your cows? I have a chance to buy quite a bit at a good price. Could I use this as a replacement for bermuda/prairie hay?

It needs to be baled correctly to prevent molding, however I have baled some to green ( in round bales) and it almost made insilage, looked terrible and smelled the same, but the cattle loved it and the cows really gave milk. If the hay headed out prior to cutting the protein will drop about 1-2 percentage points per day, so the price should be adjusted. I have fed alot of it , it is just hard to get dry in april or May if you are really after the forage at its best quality. <p>
