We planted a field of wheat last fall after corn silage. Was hoping for fall and spring pasture. It got a good catch, but didn't get up high enough to graze last fall. So. The plans were to graze it some in the spring, then roll the hay off, followed by warm season annual(millet, sudax, also for pasture. Here in SC KY the cool season grasses arent too good in summer. To complicate things I have been reading, watching videos about mob grazing. I like what I have seen. I am now thinking of mob grazing the wheat, still follow up with sudan, buy not baling it, it will let the rest of the pasture get some much needed rest. TIA for you thoughts.
