Could someone please tell me the average CP% that is in growing winter wheat.
Also, considering grazing some stockers on haygrazer that has never been cut and will be grazing after the first frost. What will the digestibility and CP% be? How will the cattle do with supplementation?

Elsu....crude protein can run well over 20% on a 100% dry matter basis with a TDN in excess of 75-76%. Cattle will get "loose" but should gain weight steadily. If you plan to leave them on it full-time they shouldn't need anything other than a good wheat pasture mineral and make some good hay available as well.
Haygrazer that has never been cut won't be nearly as good protein wise and TDN wise as it will most likely be past prime. When you feed this you might want to feed some supplemental protein.
