Help Support CattleToday:

A highway patrol Cessna flying very low one late night, next to the highway I was traveling on. I'm guessing he was returning to the field because I didn't get pulled over by a car. The pilot was easy to see as he was close and had an interior light on. He was wagging his finger. I slowed down, he flew off.

I was at the inaugural flight in Palmdale CA of the XB-70a in the early 60s. I have an envelope signed by both Al White (P) and Joe Cotton (coP) from that first flight and the first Mach 3 flight.

I treated (as a Chiropractor) Lillian Mueller (former Playmate of the year) and was invited to escort her visiting sister to the Mansion on a New Years Eve.

My daughter's babysitter that stood us up one night because she and her boyfriend had last minute company coming into town. Lonnie and Burt in their heyday. :pop:

Know a lady that is an electrical mechanic on the B-52's. Knew they had been around a while, didn't realize that long. I wondered what kind of job security she would have with how quick technology turns over in the military. Wikipedia had this to say.

The B-52 completed sixty years of continuous service with its original operator in 2015. After being upgraded between 2013 and 2015, it is expected to serve into the 2040s.

I'm sure more people have done this than I'm aware of...when I was around 12 years old, I had a Holstein bottle steer that I trained to be ridden, cloth saddle and all. Started out with bags of mineral and got to the point that I'd throw a halter on him and off we'd go. Fewer temperament issues than any of the horses I've ever rode!

I've hunted and drank whiskey with Hank Williams jr. I went to his house and checked out his awesome gun collection. I've also hunted with John Anderson, John Michael Montgomery and Aaron Tippin. Been on stage and back stage with numerous country singers while filming them. I've filmed in Nascar haulers, Nascar Garages and Pitts. Interviewed Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt and other NASCAR drivers. Filmed and Produced the Knight and Hale hunting TV show for ten years. Filmed and Produced Bass fishing shows. I've been to 47 states and over-seas. I was shot thru the arm in a camping accident. Survived falling out of deer stands with only a broken ankle. Got stranded on an island for 24 hours in a blizzard with -70 wind chill factor and was rescued by a Military Blackhawk Helicopter. Stabbed myself in the leg down to the bone by my own knife. (knife slipped). Slipped on ice getting out of a Tractor and cut my head, busted my lip, sprained my wrist, busted my knee, broke a toe and knocked myself out, all in that one fall. I've been lucky and blessed for a country boy with just a high school education. Oh I almost forgot... I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express one time.

Another thing I've done that not many people have is spent a winter living in the back of my Chevy blazer when I had only 8 hours of work a week and couldn't make rent... the bullshyte about that was since I was 7 consecutive days without work, I couldn't apply for EI.

That was a tough winter!

I ate breakfast one morning with Barbra Mandrel. She was singing that day at the rodeo I was riding at. The only thing I remember about our discussion was that she had just come from the town I was going to next and she was going on that evening to the one I had ridden in the day before. She was delightful company to eat breakfast with.
