A few years ago I a met a guy who had a rifle that I think would be good to keep in the horse barn for Coyotes and Crows. It was a over under, one barrel was a shotgun barrel and the other a big bore rifle barrel. My questions are:

1. What is this type of rifle called and who are some of the manufacturers?

2. I assume both barrels are single shot?

3. I remember the guy said they made different size rifles, ie; I thinking going 12 guage with ether 30/06 or 243 your thoughts?

Thanks you any help and opinions will be welcome.

Unfortunatly Savage doesn;t make it anymore, but Remington has one in the Spartan line.

Correct and I should have mentioned that - got mine used at a gun shop - fine piece of equipment.

Nice catch Dun. Hope Christmas went well,

Bakial makes a good one.

That's the one that Remington is importing and marketing as the Spartan.

I believe New England Firearms makes one too, dont they?

They may but all I've seen from them is the single barrel jobs. It seems that their quality control can sometimes be a bit spotty.
