What type of axle setup is this?

This the result of eating ice cream and pulling a trailer a couple months back. Finally getting around to fixing it.

Never seen this style before. All is welded together.

Kenny got me a line on someone to fix it. I assume they're gonna grind the arm off and weld a new one on. That or just bend things back straight.

What do ya call this style axle?

That's a torsion axle. Check the price of a new one before trying to straighten it, just for fun.

I've never seen one repaired in person, but I've heard there are folks that can do it. If it's a 1/16" off, you'll be replacing that tire on a regular basis. Looking at the last pic, I'd be surprised if the mounting flange isn't tweaked a bit, also.

Thanks for the info. It hut hard enough that the storage part in front crushed the side of my truck bed.

Whatever it takes to get right, we shall do it. New axle may be the simplest route.
