What to feed?

I can purchase the following feeds at the prices and protein level given. I would appriciate advice on what would be the best feed or feed combination for old cows and their calves. My hay is Poor-average quality. CORN GLUTEN 18% AT $114/TON CORN CHOPS 9% AT $120/TON CREEP FEED 14% AT $130/TON ALL GRAIN SOY FLOUR 13% AT $75/ TON ALL THESE PRICES ARE FOR BULK FEED.

Lunker; What is the feed value of your poor quality hay? Once you know that then you can make the difference with supplmented feed. For example if you hay is 8% protien or RFV of 75, then you would feed a supplment that would bring thier diet up to about 16% protien or RFV of 125 for a dry cow.

In addition to protien you need to consider energy. What cost is corn? It has your best energy value and older cows have relatively little need for high protien. Cows can use extra energy to compensate for lower protien.

I am not familar with corn chops...is it just chopped corn? And soy flour? Soy meal is 45% protien.
