Let it grow two weeks and post another photo. At this point I still say crabgrass. I can see the similarity between young dallis. But dallisgrass left uncut and ungrazed with plenty of moisture those seed heads will be more upright and 3 feet long in a short time. Crabgrass can grow pretty fast and tall too, but it has a much finer stem and grass blade.kenojoe":3vd2rxhs said:I think we have a winner. I looked at the link for Dallisgrass and that looks pretty much like what is taking over. The bad thing is it looks like it is hard to get rid of. Any ideas on how to eradicate it out of a field?
Another thing to watch is how it spreads. Crabgrass will root at the nodes that touch the ground, far as I know dallis doesn't.
