This is one of our commercial Angus heifers, the group is supposed to be bred to our registered Angus bull that does not carry a red gene. We found this one this morning, my though was that he doesn't look consistent with other calves from that bull. Our neighbor has Jerseys and I'm thinking that's what happened. The calf seems lighter colored than the jersey crosses with black cows that I have had in the past and the legs seem pretty long too

Alacowman is right it didn't take long to figure that out once got close to the calf. Oh well at least it's a heifer calf and living.

Definitely a JerseyX. She has a black nose. If she is sired by a red Angus or hereford bull, she wouldn't have a black nose.
