I was discussing this topic with some friends the other day and I would like to invite more into the discussion. What is the average amount of feed that is give to a calf to eat before sending him or her off to the sell? Let's exclude needed minerals and forge that is consumed daily. Is there anyone who comes off the pasture and straight to the sell?

I don't feed anything but my replacements at weaning and during the winter months 1% of their total bodyweight
